Truly Reusable Gift Tags - you could use in different ways
This is truly one of Siew-Peng's more crazy ideas. We have already pioneered the reusable cloth gift wrapper bags, but what could we use as eco-friendly reusable tags?
The idea emerged that we could design a beautifully embroidered reusable fabric tag with a pocket to insert a special message, written on any scrap piece of paper (or the back of an envelope). Few people would retain gift tags.
However you CAN retain these tags and reuse them as Christmas decorations. You could also buy a set and turn them into placecard holders by hiding a treat or two in them!
Tags vary in size, but are at least about 3½” x 2” and made from hand-dyed and handloomed Fairtrade organic cotton fabric (by members of the KV Kuppam co-operative).
Each tag is personally hand-crafted by Siew-Peng: digitizing appropriate images, machine-embroidering on the pocket, machine and hand-sewing, and finally adding a satin ribbon to complete the "package".
A Single Hand-finished Tag is £3.50.
A Set of Three Hand-finished Tags is £10.00.
A Set of Two Machine-finished Tags is £5.00.
A Set of Four Machine-finished Tags is £9.00.
Reusable Gift Tag (randomly selected from stock unless you state a preference)
*Trivia: The idea came in the middle of 2009 and I trialled this on the Etsy marketplace. A few weeks later I saw that the idea had been copied. I wasn't sure to be sad or glad.
