Several customers have asked for these over the years. And so, here they are! These waffle-weave dish cloths are made from organic cotton fabric sourced from an ethical and organic textile supplier.
My husband and I differ in opinion over what is a dish cloth. He says it is for doing the swishing around in the washing-up bowl. I tend to use this cloth for mopping up spills and wiping down the
dining table after a meal.
Either way, the advantage of cloth is that it can be thrown in with the laundry for a hot wash. For the purpose of wiping down counter tops, this cloth works best when slightly damp. (I know, it is a bit counter-intuitive.) Then rinse it out with soapy water and hang up to dry. We have even added a tag to one corner as a hang-tag.
I also use it for swishing around on non-stick baking trays. (As you might have already observed, it is the undersides of these trays which are a pain. I also use a dry cloth to wipe away the water trapped in these areas.)
These cloths measure about 13" x 13" (33cm x 33cm) and come in sets of TWO. We have left the selvedge of the fabric on some of the cloths to assure you that the fabric IS organic.
